Media Days are a core part of my business and what I offer for sports clubs.
The shoots I do are somewhat different stylistically from alot of sports photography companies. My point of difference is that I'm using creative lighting and backgrounds to capture individual player portraits that look great straight out of camera. I still offer customised graphics as an extra, but the priority is creating beautiful, colourful and natural images that parents will want to print and frame as they are.
The vibe of my media days is upbeat, fun and relaxed. Rather than a one-and-done pose structure, each player gets the chance to step in front of the camera and essentially have their own little 60 second mini-shoot where I'll guide them through a handful of different poses to capture a variety of shots. I work hard to capture them smiling naturally and looking like a superstar! Time allowing, I'll also do fun small group shots where friends and siblings can get photos together.
In addition to individual portraits, I also offer formal team photos which I run on a seperate station. I have a second photographer manage these which keeps a fast and smooth flow to the day. I also work with a graphic designer who creates custom-designed templates with club colours, logo and player names added. There's some examples of these at the bottom of this page.
Following the shoot, I edit all the best photos and make them available in a gallery on my website where parents will be able to select and purchase their favourite images, either as high-res digitals or as prints (fulfilled and delivered by a professional print lab).
